Short post today. No, it doesn't mean I'm slacking off. On the contrary, today I made good progress with finding resources! Yeay! I got the OG (Official Guide) for GMAT review - which everyone seems to refer to as the holy grail of GMAT prep books. And also started reading a GMAT guide book to get me started. So it seems I'm somewhat ready for week 1 of my GMAT prep.
Unfortunately, the Prof. has failed me again today. And we're rescheduling for tomorrow. I think he knows how disappointed I am - but what can you do :P Anyways, I used my time wisely aside from jump starting with the guide book, also started some flash cards! I found a post on beatthegmat.com (BTG), which seems to be a post from one of BTG's co-founders, regarding his strategy and how he scored a 720. He pointed out the importance of flash cards, so just like him, I'm writing these on my own too!
Another very nice BTG member (shout out to B! you know who you are! :D ) pointed out to me that I need to be careful when using online resources, because some can really mess you up. She mentioned to stick to stuff that are written by 700+ scorers. They usually have the best tips and strategies. Oh, and she also said I didn't suck too horribly on my Quant. Yeay! Thank you! :D That actually makes me feel good because I'm kinda obsessing over it. That and the Critical Reasoning (CR) section. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna work any less harder on it either! It just feels a bit nice that I'm not as horrible as I thought I was - that's all. LOL.
I also read from a few articles and forum tips that you have to learn to love the GMAT. That's right people, wine and dine him ! (Or her - depending on what your preference is) I guess with CR my relationship is currently a love-hate one. But I'll win him over soon enough!
LOL...loved your post...especially your relationship comment on CR...I am sure you will win him over soon with your fancy ways :D....keep rocking :)
Amazing... your blog is really coming a long way. I am so impressed by your persistence because persistency is a virtue of successful people. :)
